STUDENT CLASS SCHEDULE
NOTE TO STUDENTS:
We are trying to minimize the number of students in our classes. The system we use for this only allows for a set number of students to register for each class.
If you schedule a class and are unable to make it, PLEASE CANCEL through the link emailed to you so we can open that spot up for someone else.
Please keep in mind that if you are not registered for a class, you may not be able to take the class if we are at capacity.
Kind regards, TKA Staff

A brief history, roots, and cultural origins of the different styles of Martial Arts taught at Texas Kickboxing Academy
Texas Kickboxing Academy has been in the Katy area for 17 years offering classes for adults and children as young as 6 years of age. It is a reality based martial art curriculum that combines various styles emphasizing striking, throwing, and submission grappling techniques. The main styles that are taught at Texas Kickboxing Academy are San Shou / San Da (Chinese Kickboxing), Muay Thai (Thai Kickboxing), Western Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Mixed Martial Arts. Below is a brief history of each of the styles that are taught at our academy as well as their roots and cultural origins.

A message to our students regarding COVID-19
We at TKA recognize and understand that you may have concerns about how the coronavirus may impact your training at the academy; therefore, we want to update you on everything that we are doing to provide a safe environment for you, your family, and our staff to train in. The safety and health of our students, families, and staff is our top priority.
Cleanliness of our academy
TKA has and always will be diligent about the cleanliness of our academy. Additionally, for years we have been using a professional sanitizing service named GermBusters www.germbusters.net which uses a non-toxic, chemical-free spray throughout the academy on all training equipment and training hall floors.
How the GermBusters product works
The active ingredient in the spray used is engineered to form a completely non-toxic, colorless, odorless, positively charged, highly durable polymer that adheres to the treated surface. In addition, the product is designed to not wash off and provide continuous antimicrobial protection for 90 days or longer (dependent upon surface exposure/usage). More importantly, it produces microscopic “spikes” that puncture/shock the cell membrane, thus killing it. Since there are no toxins that leach onto the microbe itself, the surface continues to be protected: this is the Mechanical Process, leaving no opportunities for cell adaptation or mutation (i.e. “superbugs”- antibiotic resistant microorganism strains).
What you can do
Here are some basic and commonsense hygiene practices to apply – If you are sick or not feeling well, please stay home until you are feeling 100% – Avoid close contact with people who are sick – Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, especially after taking off your gloves – Spray and sanitize all of your equipment and let it air dry after each use – Cover your cough or sneeze with your arm or tissue – Wash your hands often with soap for at least 20 seconds – Bring a towel and wipe up any sweat that you leave – Take vitamins & supplements to help boost your immune system – In conclusion, we want everyone to make choices for themselves that they feel comfortable with in their lives.
We will continue to do our part in keeping the school clean and sanitized as well as educating our younger students on practices that reduce the spread of illness. Our goal is to continue to deliver the best martial arts classes possible in a clean and safe environment now and in the future. We are all in this together as a community and we will all get through this together as a community.
For additional information about COVID-19, please read the latest report from the Centers for Disease Control at www.cdc.gov, or your local health department website.
On behalf of all of us at Texas Kickboxing Academy, thank you for your trust in us. We look forward to seeing you in class!
